Background:
In 2010, at the age of thirteen, my modeling and acting career first began. I became interested in pursing this industry after my tennis partner insisted that I audition with some of the local agencies in Georgia. She told me several stories of her experiences and all the different brands and people she got to meet through this work. After talking more with her and my family, I signed with Atlanta Models and Talent in May of 2010.
When I first began, I was shy and was only getting casted as a model. I would not accept acting positions because I didn't think I fit the actress persona and wouldn't be successful in that part of the industry. My entire mindset about this changed in June 2013 when I was on a family vacation in California. I was sixteen and did a street interview for a TV show that the producers wouldn't name. After my interview, the producers and staff could't stop laughing and told my mom how great I had done. Later that night, I got a call from my friend back in Atlanta (who was three hours ahead of me) saying that I was just on Jimmy Kimmel's: Confusing Question of the Week! I was the anchor to the segment that week and found out that over three million people had watched the episode that night. After this experience, it gave me the confidence I needed in order to pursue another part of the talent industry that I had never thought I would be successful in.
Since becoming a part of the talent industry in a growing city like Atlanta, I have learned the importance of personal branding. This field is extremely competitive and the way you represent and brand yourself and your agency will affect your reputation and future jobs. This ties in directly with my major, Marketing. The way you "brand" something will affect the delivery to the audience you are trying to reach. Throughout my eight years of being a part of this industry, I have seen first hand what it means to properly represent yourself and the company you are working for. When marketing in this field, you want to set yourself apart from everyone else to show that you have something different to offer and will take the necessary risks to grow yourself and your company. It is important to leave a positive, lasting impression on the people you work with and the campaign overall. Below, I have listed some of the main projects I've done over the last eight years. These were some of the most memorable and unforgettable jobs I've had the privilege to work on! I have been apart of countless jobs that have copyrighted material and non-disclosure agreements that I am not allowed to mention or have photo rights to.
